Max Mara on show in Venice

The Max Mara coat, the evergreen icon garment of the Emilia-based Group that celebrated its 60th anniversary in 2011 with the retrospective ‘Coats!’ in Moscow, will be on show at the event ‘Trame di moda - Donne e stile’ at the Venice Film Festival, organised by Fondazione Musei Civici di Venezia and set up in the charming interiors of Palazzo Mocenigo from 2 September 2012 until 6 January 2013.
Designed and curated by Fabiana Giacomotti and Alessandro Lai, with the high-impact set-up created by Sergio Colantuoni and the coordination of Chiara Squarcina, the show highlights the correspondence between the costumes of the great movies filmed in the lagoon city, current fashion inspired by these films and these atmospheres and the precious garments housed at the museum.

Nine films for as many feminine models and historical eras, from Mambo and Summertime to Senso, The Anonymous Venetian, Death in Venice, Casanova, The Talented Mr. Ripley, The Wings of the Dove, The Tourist, more than seventy pieces from the world's most famous collections, fashion houses and costume designers.
