Talk and performance at the Whitechapel Gallery

Laure Prouvost, winner of the Max Mara Art Prize for Women, hosts an evening of music and discussion drawing on her Italian residency, together with Barbara Steveni. Their discussion, covering inspiration, aspiration, residencies, waterfalls and Italy will be accompanied by a performance from the Italian singer and composer Cristina Zavalloni, whose operatic interpretation of the conversation will unfold throughout the event.
This event has been organised in collaboration with the Collezione Maramotti and with I Teatri Reggio Emilia, and will be followed by the exhibition Max Mara Art Prize for Women: Laure Prouvost, at the Whitechapel Gallery 20 March – 7 April 2013, and at the Collezione Maramotti, 4 May – 10 November 2013.
